KaiCell Fibers selects Pöyry for biorefinery EIA process

KaiCell Fibers Ltd announces its next step towards building a biorefinery in Paltamo by awarding Pöyry with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process assignment. Mr Vesa Mikkonen, MSc. is appointed Technical Director with key responsibility for the company’s side of the EIA and permitting.

KaiCell Fibers is preparing to build a biorefinery in Paltamo, northeast Finland. The venture will create value from the Kainuu regions fibre-wood resources by processing them into established as well as new innovative bio-products. The company relies on a strong management team and will be in a position to apply for the required operating permits once the EIA is completed.
